A Question on Pym

I just want to know if anyone knows what happened to Tiger. I lost him. The last I saw him he had just saved Arthur Gordon, and had bitten the neck of an attacker , and was standing over him(the attacker) growling.

I figured they would have eaten him, but unless I missed it when skimming the boring days, - he just vanished from the story.

Can anyone tell me what happened to him?

Thanks,
Audrey

Honestly, Audrey...he got lost in the narrative and doesn't seem to reappear, so I think it is safe to say that he was consumed or died on the Grampus.

I was wondering about Tiger, also. He claimed to love his dog a great deal, so I find it strange that he never mentioned Tiger again. I would think it would have been a big deal when he died, especially if he were eaten by the group.

I doubt they ate him. If they did they would have mentioned it. Considering he had such a problem with even thinking about killing him in the hull. My only idea is that he drowned in the ship and they moved on.

Like we were saying in class, this story is full of pointless things, like saying that the letter was written in blood (in blood), and I guess that Tiger is one of them especially since he was lost among the narrative.

Thanks all,

I didn't think I would have missed that, if it was in the story. This is one of those holes about this tale that bothers me. - This and I want to know if they cooked Peters before they ate him.
What was Poe thinking? All the boring details about matches in the hold- and longitude and such nonsense and then withholding important details that would have been entertaining.
